Dear crystal lovers,
I have wanted to do this blogpost for a while now, because it is an area that I find is overlooked in the crystal community, and that is the topic of quality.
There are so many crystals available now, and they vary a lot in both price and quality.
AVIUVI is all about high quality crystals. That doesn’t mean that all of the crystals are expensive, but it means that they are all rare in their uniqueness and in perfect condition. I only choose the best of the best for AVIUVI, and I prefer raw, unpolished and uncut crystals because to me nothing can compare to natural beauty. Even before I started up with crystals, my philosophy was always quality over quantity, so that is what you will find at AVIUVI.
So today I want to talk about where in your crystal collection, it would be a good idea to choose something really special for yourself, and something that you would truly cherish for a long time both spiritually and aesthetically. These are the crystals where you would want to go for the collectors items, the museum quality geological masterpieces and spend more money than perhaps you usually would.
The five crystals that I have listed for you today are some of the more popular ones, which is why you have probably seen them many times and in various qualities and conditions.
The low quality crystals are what you would perhaps see in a tourist shop or at a music festival, medium quality are what you would find in most spiritual shops, and the high quality crystals you would find at gallery style boutiques such as AVIUVI, that are specialized in that area.
1. CLEAR QUARTZ
Clear Quartz is a fantastic all-around crystal that is typically used for assisting clarity during meditation and as an amplifier of energy. Because it is one of the most abundant crystals you can get it in all sizes and prices.
Clear Quartz is crystal collectors most beloved crystal and that is why it’s a good idea to invest in a really good one to begin with. This could be a beautiful museum quality Himalaya Quartz cluster, a Lemurian Quartz point or a Herkimer Diamond. Clear Quartz is very versatile but wether you display it in your home, work with it for a particular purpose, or carry it with you, you would want a crystal that is special to you.
2. SMOKY QUARTZ
Like Clear Quarts, Smoky Quartz is found all over the world. It comes in many hues and shades from golden chocolate brown to cool grey depending on the conditions and natural irradiation. The ones I have on the shop right now are absolutely amazing natural points from Germany and Switzerland with so many unique details such as rainbows and record keepers. They have a certain kind of dignity, wisdom and patience that I find so grounding. To me the energy of Smoky Quartz is very much like a big old tree with its roots deeply planted in the ground. For many this is their favorite grounding crystal, but because Smoky Quartz varies so much in color, I highly recommend that you take your time in finding the one that is just perfect for you.
3. SELENITE
Selenite is one of my absolute favorite crystals - in my opinion you can pretty much see with your eyes what it is meant for: cleansing! Wether it be your auric field, your home or your other crystals or jewelry, Selenite is a wonderful crystal to work with. Most Selenite is brown and yellow, chipped and rough or cut into smaller pieces.
For AVIUVI I only selected clean, thick, raw and perfectly white pieces that can be used as a place to put your jewelry at night or a display for your smaller crystals. It is great for having in your bedroom to create a clear and calm atmosphere.
4. GEODES
Geodes are like miniature cosmoses in crystal form. They have an amazingly loving feminine energy which makes them perfect for mother-daughter-gifts, for a new mother to be, or for girlfriends.
Unfortunately there are many fake and artificially colored geodes out there, but once you come across those incredible natural ones you know that they were worth the wait - and the money.

5. SPIRIT QUARTZ
Spirit Quarts is a little bit rarer to come by than the other four, but they have gained popularity in the last years.
As the name implies Spirit Quartz is a very spiritual type of crystal. Most Spirit Quartz is amethyst, and make a great alternative to the generic amethyst that is widely available. Spirit Quarts make beautiful sculptural collectors items. They are so unique and you really get the feeling of having a treasure from anther world when you find a special one.
I find them perfect as dining table centerpieces since they inspire an uplifting collective consciousness and a beautiful sense of unity.
