HOW I PLAN MY DAY WITH ASTROLOGY
March 18 2020
Dear crystal lovers,
I hope you are all doing well wherever you are. It seems like the world has been turned upside down, and there is no way to plan for the future. Here in Denmark everything changes by the hour, so I wanted to connect with you and give my tips on how you can regain structure and balance.
This technique is something I have been doing for a while now, an it really works for me.
We also have the Spring Equinox coming and I can’t wait! This is the beginning of the astrological new year, so if the calendar new year didn’t do it for you - maybe you didn’t have the time or energy to plan a whole lot, this is a second chance to do so. I find that it is a great time to set my intentions, plan for the year ahead, and create a vision - maybe even a vision board. Why is this a better time than the calendar new year? Because it is spring - at least here in the northern hemisphere! Everything here is new and fresh, the light is coming back after a long dark winter, and you just have more energy.
In so many ways it is time to push the reset button, and here is one way of doing it.
Today I’m sharing with you how I use astrology to plan - not only daily but also for the year ahead.
Let me just begin by telling you a little bit about my life. I am a mother of a 2 year old, and both my husband and I have our own companys. My everyday life is all about finding a healthy balance, and making use of my energy and resources the best way that I can, but let me be honest, it is not easy and especially not now. Having a great marriage, a happy and healthy child, and growing your own business at the same time takes a lot of work, and the obstacles are unbelievable at this moment in time.
So I have made up an easy way of structuring my everyday life using the houses in astrology. The houses in astrology represent different life areas, and what I do is finding ways to incorporate all of them on a daily basis. And the good thing about this list is that you don’t even have to be into astrology for it to work - you can just as well see it as areas in life that you want to be mindful of. Every house deals with different aspects within that area of life, but for now I’m going to make it simple.
What I do every morning is that I’m making a check list with 12 points - one for every house.
1. Self.
2. Money.
3. Communication.
4. Home.
5. Children.
6. Work.
7. Relationships.
8. Psychology.
9. Higher learning.
10. Ambition.
11. Community.
12. Isolation.
The way that this works is that you write one simple yet specific thing that you are going to accomplish in that area, so that you have a checklist of 12 tasks every day. That way you are mindfully planning and prioritizing the things that are really important to you. This is such an ideal time to focus in on what you truly value in life, so I hope that this will inspire you.
I will go through each house (life area) and talk a little bit about what I write.
Number 1: SELF.
This is the area of self: your identity, how you see yourself, who you know yourself to be. It is about how you feel about the way you look and how you see your own self development. At number one I usually put something easy like taking a nice long shower, doing my hair, or putting on makeup. I don’t have a lot of time to pamper myself, but if I had I would put it here. It could be going to the hairdresser, doing my nails, taking a nice foot bath or something like that. I like for this area to feel like a treat, like a little bit of personal luxury incorporated into my daily routine. In astrology health would traditionally be in the sixth house, but for me it works better here in the first house, so that would also include diet, exercise and vitamin supplements.
Number 2: MONEY.
The second house is about money and your ability to financially sustain yourself. This is a really tough one for many people, and since the world economy is completely unpredictable right now, I find it even more relevant to be very conscious in this area of life, and not let fear be the catalyst for my decisions. I believe that this is actually a great time to get rid of unwanted thought patterns regarding money for all of us. I put in budgeting such as how I’m going to make money, what I want to spend it on and what I want to save. It is also checking my bank account daily, paying bills, sending out invoices, financial accounting, and doing my taxes. So it is definitely is a very practical, structured and task oriented house.
Number 3: COMMUNICATION.
The third house is about communication. If I have emails, texts, phone calls, meetings, things that I have to write, if I’m posting something on the blog and Instagram, or if I’m going to shoot, edit and post a YouTube video, I will put it here. For me it is usually related to my work, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be. To me communicating is also about speaking my truth and delivering my message in a way that most people would be open to receive.
Number 4: HOME
This area is going to be a big one the next couple of week (probably months) for most of us. Since all the kindergartens in Denmark are closed, I’m back to being a full time stay at home mom while my husband is at work. What I do is that every day I like to improve a little bit on my home. Sometimes it’s just vacuuming, but it is also small projects such as painting the radiators, refurnishing a room or cleaning out the closets. The fourth house is also about family so both creating roots in your own life and exploring your ancestral roots could also be here on the list.
Number 5: CHILDREN
Like all of the houses, the fifth house represents a lot of different things: children, fun and creativity just to name a few. For me right now this area is all about my son and how I want to have fun and be creative with him. It could be painting, taking a fun trip or building something out of lego together. This is where you also have the opportunity to be a child again.
If you don’t have children, this house about a lot of other nice things too, so I encourage you look into it yourself.
Numer 6: WORK
In my birth chart the sixth house is by far the biggest. I have worked ever since I could get a job, and I’m the type of person who loves to work from the moment I open my eyes in the morning till I close them at night. Does that mean that I make a lot of money? Not exactly. Sometimes it has, but remember money is actually in a whole other house. I could write a thousand things at Number 6 on my list every day, so for me the challenge is to keep my eye on the goal and maintain a healthy balance with the rest of my life areas.
Number 7: RELATIONSHIPS
The seventh house represents the relationships in your life, not only romantically but also business partners - in other words the people who you are committed to. Since my husband and I have very busy lives we make an effort to check in with each other during the day and have time for ourselves in the evening. What I would write here could be to have a nice dinner alone or drink a cup tea and talk in the evening. Something easy and relaxing to balance out our busy work schedule. If you have business partners or employees it could also be to recognize their daily efforts.
Number 8: PSYCHOLOGY
Amongst other things the eight house deals with psychological transformation, so this is where I want to be mindful of my psychological health and development. Here I usually put a video or podcast about psychology that I want to learn from, but it could also be be something a little bit more occult such as astrology and crystals and it could also simply be to have a deep and meaningful conversation with someone. This house is about all the shadow sides of life which I absolutely love, so you are like me, you’ll have no problem fitting it in to your everyday life. If you haven’t done it already working with your fears about death and disease would be absolutely ideal at this point in time.
Number 9: HIGHER LEARNING
As with the eight house, the ninth house is very familiar to me personally. Traditionally it relates to long distance travel, but also the traveling of the mind meaning spiritual and academic learning and teaching. Since I had my son this house has changed direction from ‘traveling’ to ‘spirituality’. This is where I would plan to see an online lecture on philosophy, read and write. Right now we have a travel ban I Denmark, so this would be an excellent time to expand your mind from home and explore some of the subjects that perhaps you don’t have time for in your regular life.
Number 10: AMBITION
For me the tenth house represent two things: work environment and the future, so either I will plan to set up a great work environment for the day or make plans for future work environments. It also deals with productivity and longlasting plans, so if I have an area where I want emphasize that, I will put it at number ten. This house is about creating a career path where you are able contribute to society through your personal gifts and talents. Why do I make these blogposts? Because through my work and experience this is my contribution to you and hopefully it will inspire and uplift you.
Number 11: COMMUNITY
The eleventh house is always important but now more than ever. It is all about giving, sharing and contributing to the collective future. This is the house of the humanitarian and the visionary, so anything that that has to do with teams, friends and groups I put here. It could be to offer help to those in need, a neighbor, a group of people or someone you’ve never met.
Right now I’m offering free 2 hour phone consultations worldwide and free QHHT sessions in the Copenhagen area. As always I’m also more than happy to assist you in which crystals you might benefit from working with. Send me an email at mail.aviuvi@gmail.com and I’ll get back to you ASAP. <3
Number 12: ISOLATION
Interestingly the twelfth house is (amongst other things) about isolation, which is obviously healthy at this point in time not only physically by also spiritually. Most of us fall so easily and unconsciously into our daily routines, so this is the moment to reevaluate the social constructs, habits and thought patterns that we follow. We don’t know how long this transition will take - weeks maybe months, nor how it will effect our lives in years to come, so I personally really want to spend this time wisely.
The word ‘isolation’ may have negative connotations, however it is a real opportunity for all of us to transcend and evolve into something greater. It is about how we relax, restore balance and connect with our higher self when nobody is around. For me it is meditation, but even more communing with nature for example taking a walk in the woods, watching the sunrise or gazing at the stars. This area sometimes feels so simple that it becomes easy to ignore, which is why I have to schedule it and consciously make it a priority in my life.
As I mentioned earlier, you can also use this technique to focus in on and plan what you want to prioritize in the year ahead.
Okay guys, I hope this technique will be inspirational for you - it has definitely made my life more wellrounded and intentional.
