CRYSTAL HOME TOUR

Dear Crystal lovers,

Today I'm giving you a tour of my home in Copenhagen and my personal crystal collection. I wanna get to know you guys, and I feel like homes often reflect who people are, so I thought that a home tour perhaps could be a way for you to get to know me too. First of all I have to say that this video is by no means an interior design tour. In many ways my home is a pretty ordinary Danish apartment - we have simple surfaces, not a lot of stuff and very few colors. I live here in this Copenhagen apartment with my husband Andreas an our 4 year old son Anker.

Andreas and I have lived here for about 7 years now, and we really love the area. Besides crystals, what we have most of in our home are gifts that we have received throughout the years, thrift shop findings, and stuff that we have made ourselves. I’m not a collector by nature, and I since I’m not very sentimental I don’t get attached to objects very easily. I wouldn’t say that I’m a crystal hoarder either. Obviously I love having crystals around, but I always want them to incorporate effortlessly into the rest of the interior. Our apartment is gridded with rose quartz, but other than that I only have around 15 crystals here. Our home is slowly returning back to a more adult looking space with plants and objects. Having a kid of course comes with quite a bit of ware and tear on a home, and we didn’t want to worry to much about that. Also what I forgot to mention in the video is gallery wall that we made. Anker is a very productive little artist so we took some of his artworks that matched the colors of the room and displayed them here. He is of course very proud of that and we are too.

THE CRYSTALS

In the living room we have a gorgeous Andalusian Calcite. It is so unique looking, and I find that it holds such a creative energy. It has been a pretty bleached by the sun, however I find that it makes it look even more beautiful. I like putting my crystals up on a pedestal or on a trey to elevate them and make them look more intentional. Also I have a collection of scolecite. Raw scolecite is such a delicate crystal so I put them in this lantern that I just turned sideways. It helps to protect them and I also find it really decorative. The first one is so fragile that you almost can touch it without breaking it. The second one was sold to me as a zeolite, and zeolite and scolecites are found in the same area in India, however to me it looks very much like a scolecite. The third one is a beautiful example of what you would most often find at a crystal trade show. It is so beautiful and white. It looks like a feather that fell off of a crystal angel, absolutely beautiful. Above is a rock that Anker found on the beach here in Denmark, and I have no idea what it is but it looks like a tumbled aventurine that has been rolling around in the water for a while. The bedroom is pretty basic. In the morning we have the most beautiful sunsets filling up the room. In here we have a raw piece of selenite and two selenite bowls. Selenite is a really calming and cleansing crystal and that makes it perfect for a bedroom. Here I also have a raw Smoky Quartz from Switzerland. Anker has a beautiful tumbled quartz that he is really proud of. Kids are so intuitive with crystals, so I can’t wait to see what he is attracted to next. The kitchen is where we spend most of our day - eating, painting and working. I love modest materials like the tiles in the kitchen and the woodchip wallpaper. I think it gives a home a very unpretentious vibe. I never want anything to feel too precious. In here we have a big Himalaya Quartz and a circle stone. I switch out crystals in here from time to time depending on what we do, but these two are staple pieces. The Himalaya Quarts is absolutely gorgeous and in perfect condition. It is a true collectors item. As with all quartz it is an energy amplifier and Himalaya Quartz is perfect for amplifying a collective energy so that’s why we have it here. The circle stone was a gift from our dear dear fiends Ron and Michael who found it in a crop circle in England. And that is pretty much it for my home and crystal collection tour in the apartment.

I hope you enjoyed seeing how we live and which crystals we have here.
